Volunteer at the Hands-On Science Center
One of the most vital aspects of our facility is our volunteers. Over the years, many have discovered that volunteering at the Hands-On Science Center is fun, exciting and educational. Our volunteers get to run educational science programs and demonstrations for local children, plan build and maintain exciting new exhibits and presentations, but most importantly, they get to walk away with a sense of pride and joy that only comes from donating your time to a worthwhile cause.
The Hands-On Science Center is dedicated to encouraging enthusiasm and interest in science and mathematics in local children and we’re always looking for volunteers who share that idea.

What do volunteers do?
- Exhibits: Planning, building and maintaining HOSC exhibits can be fun and educational. Great for anyone with electronics or woodworking skills.
- Visiting Wizard / Programs: Volunteers with special training or knowledge in specific fields of study might consider planning or hosting one of HOSC’s many themed programs or demonstrations.
- Front Desk / Office Work: We can always use a trained hand in areas like Marketing, Promotions Fund Raising, and Community Outreach.
- Building Maintenance: Keeping up with a building of our size takes many hands. This is a great community service position.
