On the first Saturday of each month, the Hands-On Science Center hosts a Star Viewing Party on the lawn beside the Goethert Observatory. Volunteer astronomers will be on hand to show us the wonders of the night sky through extra large telescopes.
This is a FREE FAMILY FUN NIGHT!
Don’t miss it!
When: Saturday, April 7
Where: The Hands-On Science Center
Time: Arrive and set up your chairs a few minutes before dark!
What to bring? Your lawn chairs or blankets, and a smile on your face, ready for a stellar family evening of fun and learning!
Enjoy learning about constellations, stars, or the solar system! After the program, you’re invited to look through the huge telescope in our observatory, as well as other telescopes… how cool is that?!
If it’s raining (or freezing!), the event will be cancelled until next month’s Star Night (remember, this is partly an outside program). You can always call the Hands-On Science Center at (931) 455-8387 for details.
News Update
HOSC Star Parties were recently featured in a 3 page spread in the Astronomical Society magazine, “The Reflector”. Come see why we’re gaining so much attention.
