On the first Saturday of each month the Hands-On Science Center hosts an Astronomy Star Viewing outside at the Goethert Observatory which was recently restored by Goodrich Landing Gear. Volunteer Astronomers will be on hand to educate students and parents about what they are seeing through the telescope.
Join us for a very special day Saturday, August 28th when we will celebrate HOSC’s birthday with the community. We will have events throughout the day and into the evening, including a Star Party showing of the beautiful Tullahoma night sky. Local Motlow professor and NASA consultant Billy Hix will lead us in an informative and entertaining astronomy presentation on a giant inflatable outdoor screen. Bring the whole family, your lawn chairs, and curiosity.
This event is free to the public.
Next Star Viewing:
August 28 starting at 8 p.m.
